Therapy is an investment in your mental health and self-care.
Your first therapy session will be 75-90 minutes. Ongoing follow-up sessions are 53 minutes. Consultation sessions are up to 75 minutes. Psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases are at least 2.5 hours for the first session. My rates are very competitive with other independently licensed clinicians.
If you are insured, contact your insurance company to determine your “out of network” benefits. I will give you a detailed receipt called a "superbill" at the end of each month that you can submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance provider. Some clients also use their health care spending accounts to help cover the cost of therapy. I am not a Medicare provider, but Medicare clients may receive reimbursement through secondary insurance.
I am currently conducting all therapy and immigration evaluations on Zoom, a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing system. This system is convenient, portable and confidential. You will receive a link before each session to join me by telehealth. Zoom can be used on your smartphone or computer.
Are you processing a new diagnosis of cancer or another medical illness, or trying to manage post-cancer trauma? Are you caring for a loved one with a serious illness? Are you grieving the recent death of "your person"? I have many clients in your shoes and I look forward to working with you, too. I work on Zoom, a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing website, for video sessions. This system is convenient, portable, and confidential.
I am specially trained to assist you if you need a psychosocial evaluation to support your immigration case. We will meet for an in-depth interview and the completion of several psychological scales to determine your mental health symptoms. I’ll work closely with your immigration attorney and provide you with a final copy of the report. A thorough, well-written psychosocial assessment can be advantageous for immigration proceedings such as:
Asylum cases
Hardship waivers
T visas
U visas
VAWA cases
Cancellation of removal
Let's talk through what you envision for your healthcare in the future. Gain support to help you communicate with loved ones about what you want. I can facilitate these conversations and help you put your wishes in writing. I can also provide referrals to a family law attorney for further assistance with wills and power of attorney documentation.
Not everyone is ready and able to start ongoing therapy. I am happy to schedule a consultation session to discuss your situation and to provide support and guidance, without committing to a regular therapy schedule. One example of when a consultation could be helpful is for parents of young children or teens to discuss supporting their child through a parent, grandparent, or sibling’s serious illness or death.
